Principal's Message

Dear Steele Lane Families,

I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Steele Lane Elementary. It's an honor to join this wonderful school community, and I am eager to build strong connections with each and every one of you.

In my career spanning eighteen years, I've served as an elementary educator across first to fifth grades. Additionally, I've held roles as a district teacher on special assignment, leading the integration of technology from kindergarten through 12th grade, both at the site and district levels. More recently, I had the privilege of being the assistant principal at Hidden Valley and Helen Lehman Elementary schools.

Since my time at Sonoma State University on a Softball athletic scholarship, I've called Sonoma County home. My husband and I are raising our two daughters here, cherishing the community and the resilient "Sonoma Strong" spirit that defines this place.

My diverse experiences in education have equipped me well for this role. As an enthusiastic leader, I take pride in nurturing relationships, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment, and continuously seeking personal and professional growth to benefit the entire school community.

A student-centered approach is at the heart of my leadership style. I aim to be a clear, consistent, and timely communicator, with a focused plan for discipline and support for the social and emotional needs of all students and staff on campus. I'm dedicated to exploring innovative ideas to meet our school's needs and to engage with parents and the community effectively.

I am fully committed to our school and bring passion and humor to creating a successful and engaged school community. My door is always open, and I warmly invite your thoughts and conversations throughout the year. Let's keep our students at the forefront of our efforts.

To our students, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing all of you! I hope you're as excited as I am about the upcoming school year. Together, we'll make this a year filled with meaning and fun, striving for the highest achievements and celebrating our collective successes.

While these times may seem uncertain, I am confident that together, we can navigate these circumstances and create a positive experience for all learners at Steele Lane.

Go Vikings!
